John
Keawe, is an award winning slack key (Ki ho `alu) guitarist and
composer from the big island of Hawaii. He is also one of the top
instructors in this form of guitar playing.
Besides other awards John is now one of the artists featured on the 2005 Grammy
Award winning CD from Palm records. John's music is infused with the spirit of
Aloha and it shows in his attention to detail when he teaches his art to others.
On this instructional DVD John teaches four great songs in Taro patch tuning
(Open G) and also (Open D). John first starts off playing each song up to speed
all the way through. Then he will break each song down slowly one section at
a time. He tells you what string he is pressing and what strings he plays with
the right hand.
